Whoa

Woke up this morning with some crazy dreams in my head. I have to say that I rarely dream so it was crazy for me to have at least 2 dreams on my mind that I remembered.
I'll share this dream...I was on some sort of trip to one of the Great Lake states and Caroline (my sister) was with me, along with about 100 other kiddos. Seemed to me like we were a couple of the few chaperones that were on the trip. So we arrive to our "hotel" which was apparently on a huge boat (but not like a cruise ship). It was like a huge hallway with a maze to get to your room. My sister walked in front of me and got to her assigned room and I was the next room over. Me being the curious person that I am I waited for her to get inside her room so I could see what the rooms were like before I got to mine. When she opened the door there was a queen-sized bed and you could see a huge mirror in the bathroom where the sink part was and then there was a door to the bathtub and toilet. Well as soon as I saw the mirror I noticed a HUGE dark shadow in the mirror. This dark shadow happened to be a gigantic black bear that was standing up on his hind legs. He was not at ALL happy to see anyone there, so at that moment Caroline drops all her stuff and I run to my room (next door) as Caroline is very close behind me. We lock the door and barricade ourselves inside not really knowing what to do in this situation. As we waited and waited, not having been prepared for something like this, we started to plan out how 3 people could sleep in the same queen-sized bed (by this point my roommate had joined us). After a couple hours of just sitting and waiting to hear if the bear moved out of the room we knew it was time for dinner in the seaside dining room so we had to leave the room whether we got eaten or not. We left the room and headed to the dining room. This was an OPEN dining room, meaning when we hit a wave all the water splashed in your lap. It seemed to be just like a speed boat you and your family would have. So we were just "chillin" on a boat while eating dinner, while getting splashed on. Not long after we had sat down I noticed that the lake was very crowded and that the waves were HUGE!! I turn around to check out all the movement on the water and see that at least 3 little boats are sinking and there is no one to be found in or around them. I decided to ask the waitress what is going on. I said, "Excuse me, I just noticed that the water is a little rough and the waves are huge, could you tell me how many people die each day on this lake?" She responds, "Oh just 7-9 people a day. Don't worry." I believe my sister and I both turned really pale. THEN I WOKE UP!!!!!!! ugh. don't ya hate it...right when you get to the climax of your dream you always wake up!

does anyone still read this? who knows. i suppose there's no loss if no one is reading this...

so last night i had a rather odd dream. it began with my sister and i on an adventure in some big city, later to be discovered as new york city. she and i were walking around. though she is married, she insisted that we go into the e-harmony store (apparently, in dream world, that exists). so, we go in. we register, and she announces that we are on a mission to find my husband. i continually inform her that i'm terribly, terribly uneasy about being in there... something just doesn't seem right. she tells me just to get over it, that everything is fine. so we register and begin to go from room to room. though there was quite a selection of rather, uh, incredible men, i finally convinced her that we should leave. she's quite frustrated that she paid $75 and we were leaving, but alas, she agrees to leave.

as we are walking outside, i realize that i forgot my purse. we go back inside. they search and search, finally finding it somewhere that i never went to. i'm curious as to how it ended up this other room, but am thankful to get my purse back.

once again, we are outside walking on the street. i reach into my purse to get my phone, only to find that my purse is filled with many, many little bags of... cocaine.

i freak out, obviously.

i tell my sister about it. she immediately tells me not to touch anything, but that we should go to the police.

so now we are on our way to the police station in new york city. while walking around (it's raining, side note), there's all of this commotion about something. then, i realize what's happening: it's september 11th... again. so, we go into the nearest building, which happens to be the police station. they seem relatively unphased by the happenings, saying that they've dealt with that before. (which i guess is true, but nonetheless discomforting.) i tell them about how my purse was in another room that i never went in to and that it's filled with cocaine. apparently i'm the hero in some story... the e-harmony store is actually a drug ring that they've been trying to bust for years now.

my parents come to the police station to meet my sister and i, thankful that we are alive. my mom informs me that there was a huge mudslide in macon, creating a sink hole on zebulon road. a bank right in front of walmart actually sunk into the ground, completely gone in a matter of seconds. (the irony of this is that this particular location used to be two different restaurants that never succeeded.... and, apparently, the bank was a disaster, too.)

the end.

Foretelling the Future?

To preface my dream...I have a U.S History midterm on Thursday at 8 a.m and it has been on my mind a lot since studying for it hasn't been my first priority so needless to say I'm worried about it. Also I have had on my mind that I need to remember to purchase a Blue Book for the essay portion of the test before I forget. Oh and let me add that my roommate, Melissa, is not in this class with me.
So last night I had this crazy dream...It was Thursday morning around 6 a.m when I arose for my history class. My roommate, Melissa, and I proceeded to get ready for the class and then we decided that I would drive instead of taking the GCSU shuttle. When we arrived to the class which was at 7:00 a.m and Professor Davis started handing out the midterms I realized that I forgot to purchase a Blue Book. I turned to Melissa and whispered, "I forgot my Blue Book, do you have one?" She responded, "yeah. but I'll go with you to get yours." So I told my teacher that I forgot and he told me to go purchase one and that it would only take time off of my test time. So Melissa and I ran down to the bookstore across campus and when we arrived there, there was a gigantic line. So when we reached the counter it had already been about 30 minutes and then the cashier says, "I'm sorry we're out of Blue Books." :/ NOOOOOOO!!!!! So we sprinted back to the classroom and told the teacher he responded, "Tough luck. You must have one. You better be searching all around campus for one." So that is exactly what we did. For another hour and 15 minutes we searched campus, asking other students and such. Somehow an hour and 15 minutes later we found someone with a spare one and we ran like we were being chased by a gunman back to the classroom. As we got there we realized that we were back 30 minutes AFTER the class had already finished.
Then I woke up. I sure hope this isn't a little bit of foretelling the future. ;)

so here it goes....

last night, in my dream, i was watching unsolved mysteries with my sister. the story we were watching began with a family riding around in the scoop of a bulldozer, taking some laps around a dump (or something like that). a dump truck was backing in. this was no ordinary dump truck, though... it had a corpse in the back. not a gruesome corpse, but a corpse nonetheless.

the next story on the show began by panning to a shot of the ocean... a very placid ocean early in the morning. this song began to play in the background. i then got really excited and told my sister that we sang that song at ruf. then, i looked back at the tv to see that there was a disturbance in the water. a large african elephant (do i know the difference? not really... but in my dream i know it was an african elephant) started coming out of the water. she then began dancing around to the music... her trunk swaying in the air, her legs kicking and dancing about to the music. she was so happy, dancing in joy. she triumphantly jumped out of the water and continued her solo parade on the beach.

the end.

(i'll add that the song was playing on my ipod to wake me up.)

wishing and hoping

wishing and hoping and thinking and praying...

that i can remember a stinking dream. isn't that the worst: SDDS? for those of you who are unfamiliar with your terminology of the unconscious mind, SDDS is Sudden Dream Death Syndrome.

SDDS is an unfortunate syndrome that strikes when you want it to the least. have you experienced SDDS? has someone you love experienced it? if so, call 1 800 555 SDDS to claim your compensation. you could be awarded 1 billion smackers. you and your loved ones don't deserve to suffer. so if you've experienced SDDS, please call.

...or just write about it here. because no one will answer at that number. (it's not real. shh!)
